Just a quick little update on what Danny and I have been up to lately. We've been exceptionally busy with work, me having one job and Danny having two jobs, and volunteering at the hospital. But we've managed to squeeze some fun adventures in there once in a while.

First off we celebrated our ONE YEAR wedding anniversary and went on holiday to St George and Las Vegas.

Getting ready to Hike in ST George. Our favorite thing to do!

Going to the top of that mountain.

Land before time
We Made It!

 Playing in the Rocks
One of Danny's all time favorite places on earth is Zions national park. I'm so glad we got to go there and do what he loves to do and go on some awesome hikes.

Camping on the beach in St. George

Such a pretty view
One of my favorite things is going to the beach so we camped on the beach. A perfect blend of what we both like to do.
It was beautiful.

Sunday walk at the temple

We ended our trip in Utah saying goodbye to Katie before she went on her mission. So sad but we're so happy for her.

We had to get back to our jobs and the real world but it was sooooo nice to get away and have some. I've had some really good Aprils lately. BUT.... The fun doesn't stop there. As many of you may know I have been begging Danny and my dad to let me get a kitten and after months of asking and begging I finally got my wish and we adopted this cute little guy.

Reginald (Reggie)

Since Danny was nice enough to agree to let me have a kitten we both agreed that Danny should be able to name him. Danny decided on Reginald and it fits him so well.

Sleepy guy

Danny made Reggie a cat city. He also trained Reggie to do an obstacle course  on cat city.   What talent!
 I couldn't be happier!!

So much has happened in the last couple  months that I just had to share a few of the highlights that have have occurred. As I mentioned in my earlier post I just love the holidays starting with October and since then we have had a lot of fun events happen in our lives.

First: My Birthday! Probably my favorite holiday. My husband pulled out all the stops and took me to the Hilton where we had our reception and our marriage began.
Our fancy dinner out to celebrate my birth :)

My Birthday presents from my perfect husband.
All of my favorite things!

Second: Thanksgiving time! Danny and I are so thankful for so many things and this was a fun time of year.
Danny won first place in the research and creative works conference
 for his research on HSV1.

So thankful for my family!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Third: Graduation! After 4 long years of going to class Danny and I finally graduated from college!! Both of us now have Bachelors of science degrees in Biology (he has a micro emphasis and I have a human emphasis).

The Trost Clan

The Fife Clan

Fourth: Tonsils out! This was kind of a spur the moment decision. I had some big tonsils and a sore throat and the doctor decided to yank them right before Christmas (he probably needed a little extra Christmas money). I went the whole Christmas break without any of the wonderful Christmas treats I love so dearly, but while everyone was gaining weight during the holidays I was losing it like a starved prisoner of war. Also I wasn't able to sing all the Christmas carols I would have liked but my girl Trynda said her voice was better after she got her tonsils out so stayed tuned for that.. I'm pretty excited. lol

Nervous and not loving the hospital gown
Just out of surgery

A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do

Fifth: Christmas!! This wonderful day was quietly spent at home with the Trost family. Our big gift was a spin bike so we have a lot of health goals for the new year of course.

Christmas Day ...
Waiting to see what Santa brought us!
Me and Danny made a ginger bread house. Its on its side because it was in a hurricane. It was either that or a trailer park so I chose hurricane.
Our traditional Christmas crab fest!

We loved all our gifts Christmas morning but some of our favorites were...

Seeing and meeting our first niece for the very first time!

Watching the clippers win their 17th game in a row!

And.. one of my very favorite gifts was talking to this very cute missionary in Canada.
We love him!
Sixth: New Years! Cant wait for all the wonderful things that are going to happen for us in 2013!
It's defiantly not new years without giant confetti cannons
When its in the negatives you wear two coats to bring in the new year. I just love this man.
And of course whats new years without Danny teaching all the little
children how to light off fireworks.

Happy Halloween!!

I love Halloween and tonight I made the whole clan carve pumpkins with me. No one seemed very excited about it at first but it only took a little bit of time and they were loving it. I just love fall festivities even though fall this year is more like winter with all the snow! It confuses my poor little mind. I feel the excitement of Halloween and Christmas all at the same time. With the approach of Halloween comes the start of my birthday month and I am very excited for that. Love this time of year! After we carved pumpkins we ate 7 layer cookies and watched The Walking Dead. It doesn't get much better than that.

This is my eek! pumpkin. It was a very meticulous design and there are some toothpicks in there where the letters broke off. Its got character..
Danny and his pumpkin. I am so proud of him. He doesn't have a huge attention span for such things as carving pumpkins, and I thought he would carve a whole in his pumpkin and be done but he was actually very creative. After I gutted his pumpkin (because he didn't wanna get goo on his hands) he spent a long time carving this amino acid structure. It turned out really nice. Even though he doesn't look like it he is just so happy about this fine creation.
The whole clan next to their pumpkins. They looked super sweet with the lights off and I am really proud of us all. It was so fun. Izzy dog even carved the little funky one on the end (I did it for her). Every kid in the family needed a pumpkin!

Joining the bandwagon...

I never thought I would be a "blogger." I feel that the transition to getting a blog is necessary however considering the wonderful changes that have occurred in my life and the exciting journey ahead!
I became a Fife 200 days ago today. I can't believe Danny and I have been married 200 days! I think Danny would agree they have been 200 delightful days.

I know many people say this all the time but I really didn't think I could ever be so happy. I never thought the Lord would reward me with such an undeniably perfect match or that such a pairing was even possible. I am happy to say that my little girl dreams have come true and I have the greatest husband a girl could ask for.

This is one of my favorite pictures. Our wedding was such a lovely affair filled with family and fun and exactly what Danny and I wanted.

I think one of the main reasons I needed a blog is because I am obsessed with the months of October, November, December, and January. October is Halloween! November is Thanksgiving and my birthday! December is our graduation from college and Christmas, and January is New years. All of my absolute favorite things all rolled into just a few months! It should be exciting!
